Children

Do you know what the best thing about children is?  For me its that they are innocent and don't judge people by color, race, or how much money their parents have or make.  The are interested in just being friends, communicating, and being social.  They mostly share their toys, although they can also be a little hoarding.  If a child tells you they don't like you then wait a few and they will tell you why.  No games, or guessing, or them doing something behind your back. -Unless it involves stealing chocolate chip cookies off the cookie tray on the stove.   They don't care if they are wearing the newest name brand, if you have a wart on your face, or if you drive a fancy car.  Most kids are amazed that they can control their own window.  They have emotions and deep empathy for everyone and anyone, and it stays that way unless an adult has some bad influence that affects the children's upbringings.  Most adults now a days could learn from their children, or any children in general.  Imagine a world with out racism, sexism, or gender-ism. (not sure if that is even a word, but I sounded smarter by adding ism at the end)  another trait of children.  They think outside the box, invent new things, and try things that they know they can't do but want to prove they aren't kids anymore.  With a child you know what your getting, an honest opinion, and if treated right, a friend for life.

Goofy

I am sure by now you have heard of Disney's character "Goofy" the clumsy character who can trip himself up from time to time.  The same character who always tries his best at everything he accomplishes. Well for me he represents life, or at least how we should live it.  It doesn't matter if he makes a mistake, or how he acts in public, everyone loves Goofy.  His holler ( Yaaah-hoo-hoo-hoo-hooey!!!)  makes most laugh at his unfortunate luck. His over sized clothes and overall goofiness is something I think everyone could learn from.  Yes even with his great big feet.  The age old question is what is he?  Is he a dog? a Cow? Well he has features of both so guess we won't really know, but does it really matter?  He will be loved no matter what he is as we again shall all learn in life - to love everyone no matter the skin color or race.

In my house Goofy is plastered on a mirror in our entry way to remind us that it is okay to be goofy once in awhile.  That our clothes don't have to math, and that nothing works our the way its suppose to, to be ready for the little kinks; but don't give up cause with a little hard work we can turn things around.  So grab your fishing rod and head down to the lake for a little rest and relaxation.
